Customs clearance

We clear your imports and dispatch your exports at any customs office in Honduras: classification, declaration, duty payment and release.

Customs clearance is where an import either stalls or flows. A wrongly chosen tariff line, a missing permit or a late declaration turn into days of storage, fines and customers waiting for goods.

At Aduana Plus we prepare the declaration before the cargo arrives: we review the invoice, bill of lading and certificate of origin, classify the goods under the Central American Tariff System and compute the duties so that, on arrival, all that remains is to pay and release.

We are present at the country’s sea, air and land customs offices, so the same team that receives your container at Puerto Cortés is the one that dispatches your truck at El Amatillo or Las Manos.

What’s included

What customs clearance includes

Definitive import

Tariff classification, customs valuation, calculation of DAI and ISV, filing of the DUCA-D, duty payment and release management. Includes support during physical and documentary inspections.

Export

Export declaration, certificates of origin (CAFTA-DR, Central America, European Union), coordination with the carrier and documentary close-out so that payment from the buyer is not delayed.

Central American trade

DUCA-F for goods originating in the region and DUCA-T for international road transit, with follow-up at every border until the transit is closed at destination.

Pre-arrival document review

Before shipping we review the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. What gets fixed at origin costs an email; what gets fixed at customs costs days.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What documents do I need to import into Honduras?

At minimum the commercial invoice, packing list and transport document (BL, air waybill or consignment note). Depending on the goods you may also need a certificate of origin, prior permits or sanitary registrations; we confirm this when reviewing the documents.

Can you clear goods at a customs office where you have no branch?

Yes. We have representation at the country’s busiest crossings and cover the rest through correspondent agents. The declaration is prepared from our offices and handled on site.
